In 2016, Unifor and Suncor negotiated a model agreement in Fort McMurray to establish a benchmark for working conditions and wages in the energy and chemical sectors. The interim agreement on the Parkland refinery was reached after a broad round of negotiations that took place today. The agreement is in line with progress in this sector and the employer has tackled important pension employment issues.
